Genrupt: From AI Generation to Paid Seller Workflows
Helped Genrupt turn AI generation into paid Amazon seller workflows with billing, recoverable jobs, and controlled agent access.

Project overview ยท 47 seconds
Genrupt could generate media, but seller teams could not yet subscribe
Genrupt already generated AI images and video for Amazon sellers. To support paying teams, it also needed organization accounts, subscriptions, credit accounting, jobs that could retry without drifting credits or billing state, and a way for external AI agents to run only approved actions.
I worked alongside the founder on those systems and the seller workflows they carried, including market analysis, review scraping, listing generation, and A+ content.
I built account and job controls before adding more workflows
Charge teams and keep credits in sync.
Alongside the founder, I shipped organization accounts, subscriptions, credit accounting, and automatic payment updates. Seller teams could pay without staff reconciling every change by hand.
Let failed jobs retry without changing what a customer owed.
Image, video, storyboard, and seller jobs can run for minutes. I added status, retry, and recovery paths that kept each job connected to its credits and billing state.
Expose approved actions to external AI agents.
Paid users could connect an external AI agent through Model Context Protocol (MCP) to a short list of seller actions without exposing app routes, IDs, or background job mechanics.
Seller workflows ran on the same account and job systems
The gallery shows creative variations, batch editing, and A+ content. These were not isolated demos; they ran on the same account, billing, credit, and background-job systems as the rest of the product.
I worked on both the seller workflows and the systems that charged customers and recovered failed jobs.

What changed for paid seller teams
Together, this work helped Genrupt support its first 200 paying customers.
Seller teams could subscribe and buy credits.
Organization billing, credit accounting, and automatic payment updates removed the need to reconcile every change by hand.
External AI agents could only run approved actions.
A permissioned tool catalog exposed selected seller workflows without exposing internal routes or job mechanics.
Jobs could retry without drifting credits or billing state.
Image, video, storyboard, and seller jobs showed progress and could recover after failures.
External AI agents used the same approved seller workflows
Paid users could run market analysis and A+ content workflows from the app or through an external AI agent. The agent could only call the actions exposed through the permissioned tool catalog.
